Who we are: PickYourTech (“we”, “us”, “our”) — a directory of developer tools.

1) Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using this site, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, don’t use the site.

2) What PickYourTech is (and isn’t)

We publish directory-style information about software projects and products, including links and “alternatives to X” pages. We don’t sell software, provide warranties for third-party tools, or offer legal/financial advice.

3) Eligibility & accounts

You must be able to form a binding contract. If you create an account or subscribe, you’re responsible for the accuracy of your info and for keeping credentials secure.

4) Content on the site

Editorial content. Descriptions, summaries, comparisons, and rankings are provided “as is” for informational purposes.

Third-party content. Logos, names, and trademarks belong to their owners. Links lead to external sites we don’t control.

No endorsement. Inclusion doesn’t equal endorsement. Do your own evaluation.

5) Your submissions

If you submit a project/product, correction, review, or message (“Submission”):

• You represent you have the rights to share it and that it’s accurate and lawful.
• You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, and display the Submission to operate and improve the service.
• We may edit, decline, or remove Submissions at our discretion.

6) Sponsored placements & affiliates

Sponsored content is clearly labeled and does not influence editorial ordering. Some outbound links are affiliate links; we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Disclosures appear near such links and in our Privacy Policy.

7) Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Scrape or crawl at a rate that degrades the service; attempt to bypass technical protections.
• Use the site for unlawful purposes, to misrepresent tools, or to submit deceptive content.
• Copy or republish significant portions of our database without permission.

(Reasonable, non-abusive indexing or fair use excerpts are fine.)

8) Intellectual property

All site content (excluding third-party trademarks/logos) is owned by us or our licensors and protected by applicable IP laws. You may link to our pages and quote short excerpts with attribution.

9) API and automation (if/when offered)

If we expose an API, you must follow posted docs, rate limits, and attribution rules. We may revoke access for abuse.

10) Changes and availability

We may change or discontinue features at any time. The site may be unavailable during maintenance or outages.

11) Disclaimers

The site and all content are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind (express or implied). We do not warrant accuracy, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose, and we don’t guarantee that listings are complete or error-free.

12) Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we won’t be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or business arising from or related to your use of the site, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

13) Indemnity

You’ll defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from claims or losses arising out of your Submissions, your misuse of the site, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

14) Takedowns & complaints

If you believe content infringes your rights or is inaccurate: Email contact@pickyourtech.com with the URL, details of the issue, and your contact info. We review and act promptly (including removal or correction where appropriate).

15) Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Effective date” will change, and we’ll post the updated version here. Continued use means you accept the updated Terms.
